The Navajo and Hopi solidarity fund in the US state of Arizona has thanked U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jr for his donation of $100,000 to its fund to help indigenous people affected by Covid-19.
In a statement on its GoFundMe page, the group said the contribution will fund a week's worth of deliveries of food and water to about 1,000 Navajo and Hopi households with high risk, vulnerable or Covid-positive family members.
